Our History

Global Vinyl Solutions (GVS) started in 2004, when founder Roger McDonald made it his quest to find a more affordable extrusion solution for his small vinyl window manufacturing facility. It was clear that the playing field was not level, the lower prices that larger manufacturers realized were being subsidized by higher prices being charged to smaller manufacturers. Even though this has always been true, Roger wanted a way to compete in the market and still be able to make a fair profit.

Roger investigated the Asian market for a company that had the technology to produce the complex, light-weight shapes so common in the U.S. market. After a few visits to China it was evident that the technology existed and the capacity to produce was enormous. GVS was formed and a manufacturing agreement was created that allowed Roger to produce profiles for use in his own facility.

After one year of producing vinyl for his own use, and after completing required AAMA certification, GVS started introducing the opportunity to other manufacturers. The response was great!

GVS has been supplying high-quality vinyl extrusions ever since. In addition, we operate two warehouses that assist in our distribution efforts and make sure supply is never interrupted to our customers. Our Management team has over 20 years of window industry experience and we stand ready to assist with system design, supply chain management, productivity improvement, and whatever else can help you become more competitive in the vinyl window market place.
